A few words on cordless fountains

Why a "cordless" water fountain?  Battery operated fountains are perfect for wedding centerpieces, catered events, outdoor parties, or even that quiet evening in your backyard gazebo or on your deck.

The primary difference between a standard corded fountain and a battery operated water fountain is the design of the water pump. A standard AC fountain water pump is designed to operate on 115 volts, common AC household voltage. The water pumps on our cordless fountains are designed to operate on 6 and 12 volts DC, common automotive or battery voltage.

It's All About the Pump

Finding a quality constructed low voltage DC water pump is not easy.

We have addressed the common complaint that "the sound of the pump overpowers the soothing sounds of the water."  Not here!

Our water pumps are handcrafted, one at a time, specifically for use on our fountains. Each is equipped with a high quality motor, precious metal brushes, and strategically located sound absorbing foam.  We are convinced that they are the quietest, most durable DC fountain pumps available! 

Besides voltage, there is another major difference between the two water pumps. The AC pump is designed for continuous use, 24 hours a day, and 7 days per week. The low voltage DC pump is designed for moderate use, i.e. 10 hours a day, and 2 or 3 days per week.

All our cordless fountains operate using 8 AA batteries for the water pump and 1 nine volt transistor style battery for the LED lights.  Using good quality single use or rechargeable batteries, you can expect 8 to 10 hours of fountain operation.    (Batteries not included.)

Morning Song – easily converted using the Cordless Conversion Kit CCK-5T which includes the low voltage DC pump and a separate supply tube.

Dancing Water – easily converted using the Cordless Conversion Kit CCK-6T which includes the low voltage DC pump and a separate supply tube.

Water Chime – because the supply tube is welded to the fountain assembly, this fountain cannot be converted but instead is sold either as a Standard AC or Cordless model. The Standard AC model designed for continuous use or the Cordless model designed for moderate use.
